ABOUT
Pilot training in the UK is expanding from being an elite inaccessible career option to one that is within reach of all students. With the launch of British Airways Speedbird Academy or TUI & Easyjets publicly stated need for over 1000 new pilots to be trained up annually there is a whole new way to training to be a pilot that is either fully funded or available with easy to access finance options for students.

So you want to be a Pilot is a day long school based workshop that delivers maths and physics based sessions to students at GCSE and A Level. The day is delivered by Pilot Sam Piri who is also a qualified science teacher.

Sam brings together the core areas of mathematics and physics that make aircraft fly and that any aspiring pilot needs to know to succeed in a career in aviation. Key elements of the Airline Transport Pilot Licence are introduced with signposting for careers material to access and pursue a career in aviation.
